Fashion Tips For Rainy Season

We all have got use to the scortching heat these past months, so the unexpected drench may be excedingly refreshing, but may also have some damaging results to your shoes, outfits and hair.
Here are a few things to help you on those days when mother nature can't seem to make up her mind, and then gives you notice. You might already be out of the house, and it starts raining. That's why it is necessary that you are prepared all the time.
Here's how to look stylish and still be able to deal with the rain.

  • Wear breathable fabric. ( Keep it light )                                        Chiffon, light cotton, etc. do not get extremely heavy when soaked with rain / water, and they get dried on time too.
  • Go with hair braids!!                                                                         We all want to look like film stars, but lets face the fact that all hairstyles are not suitable for rainy season. Go with braids, weaving, etc as they are able to stay the same even after coming in contact with water. All you need is a blowdry, and you are perfectly ready.
  • Jellies are the way to go !!                                                             Jelly shoes come in very stylish forms as they are not restricted to sandals anymore. You can get them in flats & even wedges. The good part is that you can have them in your bag & when you sense the rain, you can switch footwears. And the cherry on the cake is that they come in vibrant colours.
  • Stay away from long dresses and skirts !!                                     This is not the season to rock your maxis, because you might end up with a mud - laden attire. This is the time to flaunt your legs with shorts, skirts & ankle length pants.
  • This is surely not the best time to wear your favourite whites !!
  • Have a cute umbrella in your handbag !!                                      They are lightweight & affordable and can easily fit in your handbags. And the most important thing, they are such a saviour.
  • Scarf it up !!                                                                                   Scarves are not just stylish, but they can also help you with the cold. Drive away the blues of this weather with some loud coloured scarves.
  • Go for patent leather bags !!                                                         Leather bags can't retain water, so the stuff in your bag remains safe.
If you prefer indian, keep away from salwars & patialas ; instead, pair short kurtis with dark leggings or chudidaars. Substitute your long dupattas with soft cotton scarves, as they are easy to manage and more likely to keep you warm. Stay away from bandhani or rajasthani prints as they tend to run colour when wet.
So there you are, ready to take on the rain !!
Stay Stylish!! <3<3
